What is the role

As aSecurity Solutions Engineeryouwillbe responsible forthe deployment configuration and ongoing support of New Era Technologys enterprise and managed services security solutions. You will play a key role inmaintainingand improving security across endpoint identity network and cloud environments while working closely with global IT security and compliance teams.

The following include but may not be limited to the responsibilities of theSecurity Solutions Engineer:

• Deploy configure andmaintainendpoint detection and response (EDR/XDR) email security and network security solutions.

• Build tune andoptimizedetection rules alert policies and automated response playbooks using Microsoft Defender Microsoft Sentinel and related security platforms.

• Support the onboarding ofacquiredentities into New Eras standard security stack.

• Monitor security alerts and dashboards investigate events and escalate security incidents asrequired.

• Assist with incident response activities including containment remediation and recovery efforts.

• Perform health checks to ensure security tools agents and alerting systems are functioning effectively.

• Administer identity security controls including Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Conditional Access and Privileged Access Management (PAM).

• Support vulnerability management activities including scanning tracking remediation efforts and security reporting.

• Collaborate with infrastructure applications and governance teams to implement security best practices.

• Support compliance initiatives audits security assessments and evidence collection for frameworks such as ISO 27001 and SOC 2.

• Maintain security documentation procedures and operational runbooks.

• Research emerging security threats and recommend proactive mitigation strategies.

Who we are looking for

Successful candidate mustpossess:

• 3 years experience in Security Engineering Security Operations or IT Security.

• Experience with Microsoft Defender Microsoft Sentinel and EDR/XDR platforms.

• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as Tenable or Qualys.

• Experience with Microsoft 365 Azure and hybrid environments.

• Understanding of MFA Conditional Access and identity security.

• Basic PowerShell KQL or automation scripting skills.

• Strong troubleshooting communication and collaboration skills.

• Microsoft Security certifications (SC-200 SC-300 SC-100)is a plus.

• CompTIA Security orCySA

• PreferablyhasMSP experience.

• Exposure to ISO 27001 SOC 2 or similar compliance frameworks.
