Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permit requirements.
- Monitor waste management emissions wastewater and other environmental aspects of operations.
- Prepare and submit environmental reports and regulatory documents.
- Coordinate environmental inspections audits and corrective actions.
- Conduct environmental awareness and compliance training for employees.
- Liaise with government agencies including the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR).
- Implement pollution prevention resource conservation and sustainability programs.
- Investigate environmental incidents and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Accredited Pollution Control Officer certification (as required by local regulations).
- Knowledge of environmental laws regulations and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in environmental management and regulatory compliance is preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of environmental laws regulations and DENR requirements.
- Understanding of pollution control technologies and environmental management systems.
- Familiarity with waste management wastewater treatment air emission monitoring and hazardous materials handling.
- Ability to conduct environmental inspections audits and compliance assessments.
- Proficiency in preparing regulatory reports permits and documentation.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- Ability to identify environmental risks and recommend corrective actions.
- Data collection monitoring and environmental performance analysis.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and presentations.
- Strong coordination and liaison skills with regulatory agencies auditors and internal stakeholders.
- Capability to conduct environmental awareness and compliance training.
