What can you expect in an Information Security Engineer Sr Associate role with TaskUs:

As an Information Security Engineer Sr Associate you will assist in safeguarding the organizations information systems and data by helping to design implement and maintain effective security measures. You will work closely with engineers senior engineers and other team members to identify vulnerabilities respond to security incidents and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role provides an opportunity for growth and development in the field of cybersecurity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security controls to protect the organizations systems networks and data.

• Monitor security systems and logs for potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Participate in the investigation and response to security incidents and breaches.

• Help conduct security assessments including penetration testing and vulnerability scans.

• Collaborate with other IT and security team members to develop and implement security policies and procedures.

• Assist in the maintenance of firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and other security appliances.

• Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends and provide recommendations for improvements.

• Help in ensuring compliance with relevant laws regulations and industry standards.

• Contribute to security awareness training for employees and other stakeholders.

• Prepare documentation and reports on security incidents investigations and remediation efforts.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Basic knowledge of networking operating systems and information security concepts.

• Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls antivirus software intrusion detection/prevention systems and SIEM platforms.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) are a plus.

Additional Information:

May be required to work outside of regular hours in response to security incidents. This role provides opportunities for learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity.

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology Cybersecurity or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Work Location / Work Schedule / Travel:

• Work Setup: WFH (onsite as needed)

• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday Shifting/Rotational
