Job Summary
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures all mechanical systems comply with industry standards safety regulations and environmental laws (e.g. ASHRAE NFPA OSHA local building codes)
- Develops and oversees preventive/predictive maintenance programs to optimize system performance and longevity.
- Collaborates with cross functional teams including electrical civil and structural R and D engineers on facility projects.
- Prepares technical reports specifications and scope of work for repairs upgrades and new installations.
- Manages external contractors vendors and service providers to ensure quality and EHS standards.
- Monitors department budget related to mechanical systems maintenance and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of system maintenance inspections and modifications (breakdown history records)
- Prepare reports on system performance and compliance for management and audits.
Education & Experience
- A bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with valid PRC license.
- 4-6 years hands-on experience in facilities or mechanical engineering preferably within semiconductor and or electronics environments.
- Experience with maintenance installation and troubleshooting of basic to moderate mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of cleanroom standards (ISO SEMI standards).
- Experience on quality and sustainability management systems.
- Knowledgeable with relevant codes and standards (e.g. ASHRAE NFPA OSHA local building codes).
- Experience with project management or leading small-medium projects.
Knowledge on Lean Six Sigma and experience on using the methodologies is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving with critical thinking and business mindsetseffective communication and organizational abilities.
- Strong Mechanical System Expertise: In-depth knowledge of HVAC plumbing process piping and specialized equipment used optical manufacturing facilities or semiconductor.
- Strong knowledge on skilled trades such as the following
- Common occupational skills such as performs safety-related functions; maintains and uses tools and equipment; performs measuring and layout; and performs cutting and welding operations.
- Mechanical Components and Systems such as services shafts bearings and seals services chain and belt drive systems and services gear systems.
- Material handling/process systems such as fans/blowers compressor boiler pumps (centrifugal/magnetic) and process tanks with agitators
- Hydraulic pneumatic and vacuum systems
- Work effectively with other members of OSP.
Working Conditions
This role is 100% onsite and primarily based in an optics manufacturing plant involving both office setting and on-site industrial environment.
- Potential requirement for rotating shifts overtime or on-call duties to support 24/7 operations and emergency repairs.
- Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets goggles gloves and respirators especially in high-risk areas.
