Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and driven External Audit Senior Specialist to join a professional services firm. This role is ideal for someone who can lead audit engagements manage client relationships and guide junior team members while ensuring high-quality audit delivery and compliance with applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute external audit engagements in accordance with auditing standards and firm methodologies
• Supervise mentor and review the work of junior audit specialists
• Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact during engagements
• Identify audit risks assess internal controls and recommend improvements
• Prepare and review audit working papers financial statements and supporting documentation
• Provide timely updates and reports to managers regarding engagement progress issues and findings
• Assist in planning audit engagements and coordinating team activities

Qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred/required (adjust if needed)
• 35 years of relevant external audit experience
• Proven experience in supervising or handling junior audit staff
• Strong client management and communication skills
• Experience in reporting to managers and coordinating across teams
• Solid understanding of accounting and auditing standards
• Strong analytical organizational and leadership skills
