Job Summary

The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for one (1) Data Full-Stack Development Intern to provide support to Germplasm Health Unit in Lima Peru.


About CIP: CIP is part of the CGIAR global research partnership committed to transforming food land and water systems in a climate crisis. CIPs mission is to develop and share science-based innovations in potato sweetpotato and other root and tuber crops. Develop and production of a Web-based Application for Germplasm Health Unit (GHU) Pathology Laboratory information management including interfaces to connect with the corporative database and users databases and eventually external ones.

Optimize the use and proper maintenance of historical data archives.

Generate reports

Provide maintenance to the AWS (S3) used for bioinformatics analysis.

Ensure system security documentation and readiness for production deployment.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to scalable solutions for CGIAR GHUs.



Requirements

What are we looking for

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from Computer Science Software Engineering Information Systems or a related field.

Ranked in the upper third of their faculty (mandatory requirement).

Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript ( React).

Proven experience developing full-stack applications (APIs databases frontend authentication).

Familiarity with Git code review testing and CI/CD practices.

Ability to document work clearly and follow structured development processes.

Proficiency in English and Spanish.
