Data Engineer

Job Overview / Purpose Statement

• Develop test and maintain scalable data pipelines to ingest clean and transform data from various sources (e.g. CRM systems Google Analytics Ad platforms inventory feeds).
  
• Assist in designing implementing and maintaining databases to support business needs.
  
• Optimize data storage solutions using databases data warehouses and cloud services (e.g. Google Cloud).
  
• Monitor and ensure the integrity accuracy and consistency of database data.
  
• Perform database performance optimization and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  

• Understand the data flow for the client data to implement new extraction techniques.
  
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows to collect transform and load data into appropriate storage solutions.
  
• Automate data pipelines to ensure timely and efficient data processing.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement solutions.
  

• Conduct regular data audits to identify and resolve data inconsistencies or inaccuracies.
  
• Implement and monitor processes to maintain high data quality standards.
  
• Collaboration Impact: Positive feedback from team members and stakeholders on data readiness.
  

• Prepare data for use in dashboards and visualizations.
  
• Collaborate with the analytics to ensure data is structured and available for reporting needs.
  

• Work closely with senior team members and leadership to align data processes with business goals.
  
• Provide support for data-related issues raised by internal stakeholders.
  
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve processes.
  

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  

• Basic knowledge of database technologies (e.g. SQL NoSQL).
  
• Familiarity with ETL tools and processes (e.g. Apache Airflow Talend or custom Python scripts).
  
• Understanding data formats (e.g. JSON CSV XML) and APIs.
  
• Proficiency in a programming language such as Python or SQL.
  
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS GCP or Azure) is a plus.

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
  
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  

• Must be proficient in English (written and verbal)

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  
• Knowledge of AI/ML integration basics.
  
• Ability to work independently and align with a remote team in CST hours
