KalSoft is looking for a Junior Infrastructure Trainee Engineer to join our team in Sohar. This is an entry-level opportunity for an Omani national with a background in Computer Science IT or a related field who is interested in developing practical skills in IT infrastructure Microsoft 365 networking backup and technical support. The ideal candidate should be a quick learner with good problem-solving and communication skills.

• Provide basic IT help desk and technical support to users.
• Support Microsoft 365 Outlook email Teams SharePoint and OneDrive.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and user account support.
• Support Veeam backup activities and basic backup monitoring.
• Assist with website and domain administration and publishing.
• Monitor and report basic email security issues including spoofing spam and scams.
• Assist with network support including switches wireless access points VLANs and DHCP.
• Support Cisco Meraki Cisco Switches and Cisco Access Points.
• Assist with VPN and network security troubleshooting.
• Provide basic support for printers CCTV/DVR and other IT hardware.
• Troubleshoot user and network issues and escalate incidents when required.
• Document IT environments configurations incidents and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain basic IT reports using Excel pivot tables graphs and charts.
• Assist in identifying security vulnerabilities and supporting EDR/MDR security solutions.
• Explore practical use of Microsoft Copilot and AI tools while following security and governance requirements.

• Omani National only.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
• Fresh graduate or entry-level candidate.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure networking and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 and networking will be an advantage.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills in an IT infrastructure and technical support environment.
