NOV is looking for an Engineer Operational Excellence to join our Fiber Glass Systems team in Sohar Oman. This role will lead site-level operational excellence and quality control activities supervise the QC team and drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety quality delivery cost productivity and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma Kaizen 5S RCA and CAPA methodologies.
- Analyze production and quality data to identify trends risks and improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain KPIs dashboards action trackers and management reports.
- Lead and support the daily activities and development of the QC team.
- Ensure incoming in-process final product and dispatch inspections meet customer and quality requirements.
- Manage NCRs corrective actions inspection records calibration controls and quality documentation.
- Support QMS activities and internal external customer and supplier audits.
- Collaborate with Production Engineering Supply Chain HSE and Quality teams to improve processes and product quality.
- Promote a strong culture of safety quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in quality operational excellence manufacturing inspection testing or process improvement.
- Experience with quality control RCA/CAPA NCR management inspection planning data analysis and continuous improvement.
- Experience supervising or coordinating a technical team.
- Knowledge of QMS Lean/CI tools KPI tracking document control calibration and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong reporting/presentation skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Preferred
- Experience in fiberglass composites pipe manufacturing oilfield equipment or similar manufacturing environments.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent certification.
- Experience with Power BI Minitab ERP/MES or quality management systems.
- Arabic language skills and local market experience are an advantage.
