Group Performance and Planning is a key part of Hydros CFO organization and is responsible for the companys performance management planning risk and capital allocation processes. The team provides analytical insight and decision support to senior management playing a central role in evaluating performance and supporting strategic priorities across Hydro. This unique position offers broad exposure to the companys business operations financial performance and long-term value drivers.

The position reports to the Head of Group Performance.

As Financial Analyst you will play an important role in supporting Hydros performance management and strategic decision-making processes. You will:
- Conduct in-depth financial and business analysis to generate insights for management reporting and decision support.
- Support Hydros annual business planning process as well as other planning and performance management activities across the organization.
- Monitor and analyze operational and commercial improvement initiatives across Hydros business areas.
- Develop maintain and enhance advanced financial and performance metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Drive digital development through analytical tools and automation of data driven processes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Hydros consolidated financial model and risk management modeling tools.
- Provide analytical support and financial insight to a broad range of strategic and business-critical projects.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across business areas and corporate functions to improve decision-making and business performance.
We are looking for an analytical and proactive professional who combines strong financial capabilities with a genuine curiosity for understanding business performance.
To succeed in this role you will bring:
- A Masters degree in Finance Economics Business Engineering or another quantitative discipline with strong academic results.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience within corporate finance management consulting financial analysis business analytics or a similar analytical role.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills relevant AI applications and the ability to present complex information in a clear and compelling way.
- Strong financial modeling capabilities and experience working with large datasets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- An interest in digitalization business intelligence tools and data-driven decision making.
- The ability to work independently challenge assumptions and translate analysis into actionable recommendations.
