IT SUPPORT SPECIALIST

As an IT Support Specialist based onsite atRocket Labs Auckland Production Complexyou will have the opportunity to support our global teams by ensuring seamless access to information and smooth operation of our computer systems networks and this role you will provide day-to-day IT support interact positively with staff and play a key role in onboarding new hires to ensure productivity from day one.

WHAT YOULL GET TO DO:

• Carry out the day-to-day functionsrequiredto provide quality IT support and service by interacting positively with our staff answering inquiries and effectively handling complaints
• Track and update support desk Incident Request Problem and Change Project tickets and other documentation
• You will be the point of contact for any onboarding of new hires to ensure they are setup and productive from day one
• Participate in the Continuous Improvement Process; the ongoing effort to improve our service IT Systems and processes
• Occasional domestic travel may berequired
• This position may require flexibility to work various shifts including evenings weekends and participation in an on-call rotation as needed

YOULL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2 years experience in IT support and high school diploma
• Exposure with most and solid operational experience in at leasttwoof the following:
  • Windows or Linux desktop operating systems (including imaging maintenance troubleshooting)
  • PC hardware (includingassemblyanddisassembly ofdesktop PCs)
  • Understanding of networking infrastructure and basic troubleshooting (TCP/IP/DNS)
  • A scripting language
  • Active Directory and Group Policy

THESE SKILLS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:

• Certifications inCompTIAA or ITIL
• Experience with cloud-based technologies (Azure AWS O365)
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies and public/private cloud environments
• Familiarity with common AI platforms and the ability to write effective prompts evaluate AI-generated outputs andidentifyopportunities toleverageAI and automation to improve service delivery and operational efficiency
• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible and Terraform
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills able to see the big picture and make connections
• Experienceparticipatinginand supportinga medium to complex endtoend IT project in all phases frominitialrequirements gathering and planning through implementation testing stakeholder coordination and ongoing operational support
