ABOUT THE COMPANY
EROAD is a global fleet management technology company providing GPS tracking compliance automation and driver safety solutions to fleet operators across New Zealand Australia and North America. As the business continues to invest in AI and analytics capability were hiring a Data & AI Consultant to help drive that work forward.

WHAT YOULL DO
This role blends hands-on data engineering with internal consulting coaching business users while building the tools they rely on.

• Own Power BI standards and governance across the business shaping how reports dashboards and semantic models are built
• Build and maintain dbt transformation pipelines that keep data reliable and ready for use
• Build AI agents on Snowflake Cortex and CoWork to support new automation and analytics use cases
• Act as an internal evangelist for self-service analytics coaching business users on tools and best practice
• Partner with stakeholders across the business to translate their needs into practical data and AI solutions

WHAT YOU NEED
Youll bring a mix of analytics data engineering and consulting skills with room to grow into the AI side of the role.

• Experience developing reports dashboards and semantic models in Power BI or experience with another leading BI tool (e.g. Looker Tableau) with the aptitude to become the internal Power BI SME
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern cloud data platforms
• Experience with Snowflake and data warehousing concepts or another modern cloud data warehouse (e.g. BigQuery Redshift Synapse) alongside strong data warehousing and dbt experience
• Experience building and maintaining dbt models and transformation pipelines
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences
• Strong stakeholder engagement and consulting skills
• Experience coaching users on analytics tools and best practice
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
