As part of our Central Ops and Reliability Engineering (CORE) team youll play a critical role in managing our real-time production trading environment. We operate a follow-the-sun model globally to monitor triage troubleshoot and deploy changes to our production trading this role youll develop deep technical and operational expertise across all areas of our trading platform. Youll proactively monitor and troubleshoot systems deploy changes while minimizing operational risk and implement tools and processes that drive continuous a team that operates at the heart of Jumps trading infrastructure where youll have direct impact on system performance and reliability while working with cutting-edge technology at scale. This role offers unique exposure to all aspects of our trading platform and the opportunity to work directly with traders and technologists across the firm.

As a CORE Weekend Warrior you will work a 4-day workweek role with one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) as part of your schedule. During onboarding and training youll initially work a standard MondayFriday week before transitioning to the 4-day schedule (WednesdaySaturday or SundayWednesday). Candidates must be comfortable with and prepared for this arrangement. Flexibility and reliability to support weekend trading are essential to success in this role. On weekends you will work shifts that overlap with colleagues in the other time zone (APAC and US). Other teams have a similar setup so you will join a virtual weekend warrior team online at the weekend in your time zone. Even at weekends Jumps systems are heavily automated so most of your time will be working on project work but you will be available for immediate troubleshooting and support as required.

What Youll Do:

• Own the production environment driving performance reliability and operability through continuous improvement
  Proactively monitor and troubleshoot large-scale trading systems and exchange connectivity
  Build and maintain our site reliability toolkit for the production trading system including configuration management process management deployment monitoring data collection and analysis
  Leverage firm-wide metrics to improve scalability and system performance
  Partner with traders Risk Management and Operational Trading Support teams to communicate technology changes coordinate deployments and manage incidents
  Collaborate across the technology organization to analyse and troubleshoot complex system problems
  Work with Clearing team to reconcile trades and position breaks
  Assess and manage operational risk when deploying changes to production
  Define and document processes and procedures
  Provide mentorship and cross-training to other technical operations engineers
  Additional responsibilities as business needs evolve

Skills Youll Need:

• Degree in Computer Science related field or equivalent professional experience
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in IT operations (DevOps SRE Linux Systems Engineering or Network Engineering)
• At least 3 years of experience with Python and shell scripting
• Strong understanding of the Linux operating system including network and system configuration kernel internals scheduling and performance tuning
• Strong understanding of networking concepts such as routing multicast LLDP VLANs and Ethernet
• C experience is a plus
• Rigorous detail-oriented approach to operations
• Deep sense of ownership and ability to meet business priorities with urgency

• Ability to handle shared operational and periodic on-call duties

Annual Base Salary Range:

150.000 - 175.000 EUR
