Job Summary
As a Service Designer you will:
- Conduct qualitative user research through key-user interviews user validation sessions and end-user testing.
- Collaborate with Business Process Analysts (BPAs) to gather analyze and translate user insights into actionable design outcomes.
- Lead service and experience design activities ahead of the development phase.
- Define future-state user journeys and service concepts based on user needs and business objectives.
- Ensure upcoming features and solutions are conceptually sound user-centered and ready for delivery.
- Facilitate Design Thinking workshops co-creation sessions and stakeholder alignment activities.
- Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to build consensus around future solutions.
- Contribute to shaping the product and service roadmap including new features new user groups and integration of existing applications.
- Help establish a strong user-centered approach to decision-making across business and IT teams.
- Partner with product designers and development teams to translate strategic concepts into viable solutions.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 810 years of overall professional experience with strong experience in Service Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in Service Design within complex environments.
- Proven experience conducting qualitative user research including interviews validation and user testing.
- Strong ability to translate research findings and user insights into meaningful design recommendations.
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management facilitation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience working with both business and IT/technology stakeholders.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with Design Thinking co-creation and user-centered design.
- Experience defining user journeys service concepts and future-state experiences.
- Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on execution levels.
- Experience working on enterprise or operational systems is highly advantageous.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- Understanding of the Dutch language is an advantage.
You should possess the ability to:
- Conduct structured user research and confidently engage with key users and end users.
- Identify user needs pain points and opportunities through qualitative research.
- Convert research insights into clear user journeys service concepts and actionable design decisions.
- Facilitate workshops and Design Thinking sessions involving diverse business and technology stakeholders.
- Build alignment between stakeholders with different perspectives priorities and requirements.
- Challenge existing assumptions and encourage user-centered decision-making.
- Work independently while collaborating closely with product designers developers BPAs and business stakeholders.
- Balance strategic thinking with hands-on service design execution.
- Shape future solutions before they move into the development and delivery stages.
- Contribute effectively to roadmap discussions involving new features user groups and application integrations.
- Communicate complex design concepts and research findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
