Job Summary

Fulltime 32 - 40 h/w hbo/wo level Headquarters Groningen
*You are able to work at the office in Groningen we have a remote working policy of a maximum of 2 days per week.
Infra: Private cloud with Kubernetes Ceph storage Helm NGINX HAProxy
Automation & monitoring: Terraform Ansible GitOps (Flux) Prometheus Loki Grafana
Security & secrets management: Hashicorp Vault
Stack: Fully self-managed across 3 colocations in the Groningen region
Workflow: High responsibility short iterations full technical freedom. We document well release frequently and continuously improve
Our team takes full ownership of our infrastructure. We actively replace legacy systems experiment with new tech and constantly look for ways to improve.
You lead projects make technical decisions and contribute to improving our infrastructure strategy. You collaborate with engineers product managers and other teams to deliver platform-wide improvements.
Examples of what youll work on:
Designing and implementing robust scalable infrastructure
Defining strategy for observability security and automation
Improving incident response processes and leading postmortems
Executing large-scale migrations (e.g. CI/CD data centers platform changes)
Mapping and managing complex dependencies between teams and systems
Coaching colleagues doing technical reviews and sharing knowledge

You have extensive experience in infrastructure engineering and can think both strategically and pragmatically. Youre technically strong communicate clearly and help others grow.
We expect:
Deep experience in designing implementing and maintaining complex infrastructure systems
Experience with large-scale systems (cloud Kubernetes multi-data center)
Strong knowledge of security monitoring storage and networking
Ability to manage cross-team dependencies and drive large technical changes
Ownership mindset and a strong presence within the team
Fluent in English and comfortable collaborating with others
