Job Summary
As a Industrial Automation Systems Engineer you will play a key role in developing high-performance embedded firmware solutions for advanced Industrial Automation products. You will contribute to OPC UA FX fieldbus implementations Linux integration MPU peripheral configuration and Functional Safety Related development in a dynamic international R&D environment.
You will collaborate closely with experienced firmware hardware and system engineers on the full product lifecycle from design and implementation to testing optimization and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded firmware and safety related products in C for Industrial Automation products
- Implement and support industrial communication protocols (OPC UA FX)
- Configure and optimize MPU peripherals (SPI I2C UART CAN ADC DMA etc.)
- Perform firmware debugging testing validation and performance optimization
- Collaborate with hardware and system engineers on firmware development throughout the product development cycle
- Participate in code reviews and maintain clear modular firmware documentation
- Continuously improve firmware reliability maintainability and real-time performance
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Electronics Computer Engineering Mechatronics or a related field
- Solid experience in embedded firmware development (recent graduates with strong projects/internships are welcome)
- Good proficiency in embedded C
- Basic understanding of microcontrollers and real-time embedded systems
- Familiarity with Linux RT system
- Understanding of common communication protocols and embedded interfaces
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- Strong willingness to learn and grow within Industrial Automation technologies
Additional Information :
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with IEC 61508 or ISO 13849
- Familiarity with debugging tools (oscilloscope logic analyzer etc.)
