Independent Chef

We are Tong Fong a world/Chinese/Indian restaurant located in Soest and we are looking for an Independent Chef to strengthen our kitchen team. Do you have a passion for cooking and enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment Then you might be the perfect fit for us! You will assist in preparing dishes and work closely with our kitchen team in a professional and organized setting.

• Selecting and preparing ingredients (washing cutting mixing etc.)
• Performing quality checks during preparation (doneness taste color) and adjusting where necessary
• Ensuring consistent quality and hygiene standards
• Supervising kitchen assistants and correcting where needed
• Managing inventory ordering ingredients and checking deliveries
• Cleaning the workspace kitchen equipment and stations daily
• Reporting technical issues and resolving minor malfunctions
• Contributing ideas for menu composition updates and preparation methods

• Ability to work independently and take initiative with a problem-solving mindset
• Strong sense of responsibility and teamwork
• MBO-3 level of thinking/working (if you dont fully meet this you are still encouraged to apply)
• Demonstrable knowledge of basic cooking techniques
