Job Summary
At Polaroid we are evolving our instant photography platform by integrating modern digital imaging technologies into our instant camera systems. We are seeking a Firmware / Embedded Systems Engineer to joinour team workingon the next-generation of instant camera integrating digital image capture with analog printing mechanisms.

What youll do

  • Design implement and maintain embedded firmware in C for battery-powered devices.

  • Develop robust applications and drivers on top of FreeRTOS.

  • Debug complex hardware-software issues and drive root-cause resolution.

  • Work closely with electrical mechanical optics product and manufacturing teams.

  • Support bring-up validation and production line development activities.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in quality reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Electrical Engineering or related field.

  • 5 years of experience building embedded products.

  • Experience building battery-powered consumer or portable devices.

  • Strong problem-solving mindset and practical engineering approach.

  • Comfortable working with people from different disciplines.

  • Open to new challenges and ambiguity in fast-moving product development.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with LVGL.

  • Familiarity with image processing algorithms.

  • Familiarity with image sensor tuning.

  • Experience with BLE stack integration/development.

  • Experience in production line development and manufacturing test support.
