Director Functional Architecture & Platform Capabilities

As our Functional Director - Functional Architecture & Platform Capabilities you will help shape the future of the Planon Application Framework (PAF) the strategic foundation on which all Planon Solutions are built.

This role sits at the intersection of Product Management Architecture and Platform Strategy. You will define what functional capabilities belong on the shared platform ensuring they can be reused across multiple solutions customers and industries.

You are someone who naturally looks beyond individual product requests and identifies common patterns that can be transformed into scalable platform capabilities.

This is a unique opportunity to define the functional architecture of a global enterprise platform and influence how innovation is delivered across the entire Planon portfolio.

What will you do

• Define and evolve the functional architecture of the Planon Application Framework (PAF).

• Identify reusable platform capabilities from customer market and solution requirements.

• Translate business needs into scalable capabilities that can be leveraged by multiple Planon Solutions and drive consistency and reuse across products while preventing unnecessary duplication.

• Collaborate closely with Product Directors Development Directors Technology Directors and Architects.

• Establish governance principles for evaluating prioritising and managing platform capabilities.

• Influence strategic platform investments without direct managerial authority.

• Help accelerate innovation by ensuring solutions can build upon common platform capabilities rather than creating their own functionality.

Our ideal candidate meets the following criteria:

• You have a minimum of 10 years of experience within enterprise software platform products or enterprise architecture.
• You have a strong background in functional architecture platform strategy or business capability modelling.
• You have proven experience translating complex customer and business requirements into scalable and reusable platform capabilities.
• You have successfully influenced multiple product and development organizations without direct managerial authority.
• You have experience driving platform standardization and reducing complexity across large software portfolios.
• You are a collaborative leader with excellent stakeholder management facilitation and communication skills.
• You combine strong analytical and systems-thinking capabilities with a passion for simplifying complexity through reusable platform capabilities.

Good to have

• Experience working in SaaS PropTech IWMS enterprise platform or ecosystem-driven software environments.
• Experience collaborating with API developer ecosystem or platform-as-a-product initiatives.
• Experience with AI-enabled enterprise platforms and digital transformation programs.

Salary range: 7..000- gross per month depending on experience. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role based on objective role-related criteria.
