Job Summary

Internship overview

This internship offers a Dutch/Belgian student the opportunity to gain handson experience in the development and implementation of an organizational AI governance framework within a regulated and datadriven environment whereby data privacy compliance is critical. The internship is primarily focused on supporting the organization in establishing a structured sustainable and compliant approach to the use of artificial intelligence including policies processes and non-technical controls governing AI systems across their lifecycle. While the core focus is on AI the internship also integrates core data privacy principles and regulatory requirements recognizing that effective AI governance fundamentally relies on strong GDPR-aligned data protection practices.

The internship is learningoriented and does not require a dedicated end project though a formal assignment or report can be arranged if required by the educational institution.

Objective:

The primary objective of the internship is to enable the student to actively support the design development and implementation of an AI governance framework while building practical understanding of privacy and regulatory compliance. Specific objectives include:

Supporting the development of an AI governance framework aligned with business needs and regulatory expectations

  • Understanding and applying key requirements from the EU AI Act (where applicable).
  • Integrating data privacy (GDPR) principles into AI governance processes.
  • Learning how organizations identify assess and manage risks associated with AI systems.
  • Contributing to the creation of sustainable processes for AI lifecycle management oversight and accountability.
  • Developing professional skills in structured analysis documentation and stakeholder engagement.

 

The intern will receive structured supervision and regular feedback. If required by the educational institution learning objectives competencies and assessment criteria can be formally aligned and documented.
