Senior Network Security Engineer – F5 & Palo Alto (L3SME)

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer with deep expertise in F5 BIG-IP and Palo Alto technologies to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise infrastructure.

This role operates as an L3 Subject Matter Expert responsible for advanced troubleshooting security policy management load balancing services and high-availability network security environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience supporting production environments and leading complex incident resolution efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Provide L3 operational support for enterprise F5 BIG-IP and Palo Alto environments.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex network application delivery and security incidents.

Configure maintain and optimize:

o F5 BIG-IP LTM

o GTM / DNS

o ASM / WAF

o Palo Alto Firewalls

o Panorama

Support firewall policy management NAT configurations VPN services and security controls.

Participate in major incident management root cause analysis (RCA) and problem management activities.

Manage high-availability failover and disaster recovery configurations.

Implement and support SSL offloading web application firewall protections and application delivery services.

Review and execute infrastructure changes following enterprise change-management processes.

Collaborate with infrastructure cloud application and security teams to improve service reliability and security posture.

Maintain operational documentation standard operating procedures and technical diagrams.

Required Qualifications

Must Have

8 years of experience supporting enterprise network and security environments.

Strong hands-on experience supporting F5 BIG-IP solutions including:

o LTM

o GTM/DNS

Strong hands-on experience with:

o Palo Alto Firewalls

o PAN-OS

o Panorama

Experience troubleshooting production-critical incidents in large enterprise environments.

Strong understanding of:

o TCP/IP

o Routing & Switching

o Network Security Fundamentals

o VPN Technologies (IPSec / SSL VPN)

Experience supporting High Availability (HA) environments and failover architectures.

Proven experience performing root cause analysis and incident resolution.
