Job Summary
Process Engineer
Objective
Ensure stable efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes by resolving technical and quality issues implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement in close collaboration with Production Quality and Maintenance.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze production losses and bottlenecks to improve OEE cycle times capacity and line efficiency.
- Reduce scrap rework and process variation through root cause analysis SPC PFMEA control plans and corrective actions.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives focused on materials labor energy consumables and waste reduction.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma projects including Kaizen events process audits and structured problem-solving activities.
- Support new product launches through process design trials PPAP equipment readiness and ramp-up stabilization.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety environmental ergonomic and quality standards.
- Develop standard work work instructions visual aids and training materials for operators and technicians.
- Use process data and digital monitoring tools to identify improvement opportunities and validate results.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors degree in industrial Mechanical Mechatronics Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
- 2 years of experience in aluminum casting machining and/or assembly processes.
- 2 years of experience with APQP and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Core Tools (APQP PPAP PFMEA MSA and SPC) and quality management standards such as IATF 16949.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong analytical problem-solving communication teamwork and corrective-action skills.
- Experience in a metallurgical laboratory is preferred.
