AIM is seeking a caring enthusiastic and proactive I-Pal Assistant to join our team. The I-Pal Assistant will support the delivery of AIMs student wellbeing and development programme working closely with students teachers and the wider school team to create a positive inclusive and supportive learning environment.

The role requires someone who enjoys working directly with children is attentive to their individual needs and can build strong and trusting relationships. The successful candidate will support students in their social emotional and personal development while contributing to their overall school experience and wellbeing.

• Support the I-Pal team in the implementation of activities and initiatives focused on students social emotional and personal development.
• Provide individual and small-group support to students following the guidance of the I-Pal team and school leadership.
• Build positive and supportive relationships with students helping them feel safe included and confident at school.
• Assist students with emotional regulation social interactions conflict resolution and the development of positive behaviours.
• Observe students and communicate relevant information or concerns to the appropriate members of the school team.
• Support the implementation of strategies and interventions designed to address individual student needs.
• Collaborate closely with teachers coordinators psychologists and other members of the school community.
• Assist with classroom and school activities when additional student support is required.
• Maintain appropriate confidentiality regarding student information and wellbeing matters.
• Promote AIMs values and contribute to a respectful inclusive and positive school culture.
• Follow all school safeguarding health and safety and student wellbeing policies and procedures.

• A degree or ongoing studies in Psychology Education Educational Psychology Pedagogy or a related field.
• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational psychological or developmental setting.
• A genuine interest in supporting childrens social and emotional development and wellbeing.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
• Patience empathy discretion and a caring approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to follow guidance while also demonstrating initiative and responsibility.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• English proficiency appropriate for working within AIMs bilingual/international school environment.
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all students.
