About the Role
Magna Powertrain is seeking aSenior AI Engineerto lead the design development and deployment of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions across our manufacturing and engineering operations. This role will play a critical part in driving digital transformation initiatives improving operational efficiency and enabling smart factory capabilities.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing quality IT and engineering to deliver scalable AI-driven solutions that create measurable business impact.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop and deployAI/ML modelsfor manufacturing optimization predictive maintenance and quality analytics
Lead end-to-end AI solution lifecycle: data acquisition model development validation deployment and monitoring
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identifyautomation and optimization opportunities
Build and maintaindata pipelines and scalable AI architectures
Apply advanced techniques incomputer vision NLP and time-series analysisfor industrial use cases
Mentor junior engineers and promotebest practices in AI development
Ensure solutions align with Magnasdigital transformation and Industry 4.0 strategy
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelorsormasters degree in computer science Data Science Engineering or related field
5 years of experience inAI/ML developmentin industrial or enterprise environmentsincluding 3rdpart systems integration
Strongprogramming skills inPythonand experience with AI frameworks (TensorFlowPyTorch etc.)
Experienceworking withRDBMS and NoSQL database systems(e.g. SQL Server PostgreSQL MongoDB etc.)
Experiencewithdata engineering(Databricks Microsoft Fabric) cloud platforms (Azure AWS)and deployment pipelines
Solidunderstanding ofstatistical modeling and machine learning algorithms
Hands-on experience withAgile methodologies (Scrum KanbanSAFe)
Fluentin Spanish (mandatory)and professional working proficiency in English
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in theautomotive or manufacturing industry
Knowledge ofIndustry 4.0 technologies IoT and smart factories
Hands-on experience withcomputer vision (e.g. defect detection)
Familiarity withMLOpspractices and model lifecycle management
