Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (API) with extensive experience in Java Spring Boot REST APIs and Microservices to join a team responsible for designing developing and supporting client-facing applications and services

The ideal candidate is a hands-on senior engineer with strong enterprise software development experience solid API and microservices expertise and exposure to AI-powered applications intelligent automation or Generative AI solutions.

Responsibilities

Design and develop high-quality scalable software features and services.
Design build and maintain REST APIs.
Develop enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Work with modern microservices-based architectures.
Apply software engineering best practices including code reviews unit testing and peer programming.
Translate customer and business requirements into technical designs.
Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on software design and architecture.
Balance new feature development defect resolution and technical debt.
Work closely with DevOps teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Apply API management concepts and work with tools such as APIM.
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies including story refinement.
Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to accelerate development and improve code quality.
Contribute to AI-powered applications intelligent automation solutions or Generative AI-enabled products.

Requisitos

Required Qualifications

812 years of professional software development experience with a strong background in enterprise applications.
Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17.
Strong professional experience with Spring Boot.
Hands-on experience with Spring MVC and Spring Security.
Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs.
Solid experience with Microservices Architecture.
Understanding of API management concepts and platforms such as APIM.
Experience with software engineering best practices including unit testing and code reviews.
Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
Advanced English (B2/C1) for collaboration with international teams.

AI / GenAI Experience

Professional experience in at least one of the following areas is highly relevant:

AI-powered software applications.
Generative AI / LLM-enabled products.
Intelligent automation solutions.
Integration of AI capabilities or APIs into enterprise applications.
AI-assisted software engineering workflows.
