1224 Manual QA Engineer
Job Summary
This is a remote position.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science IT or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience in Manual QA testing for web and back-end applications.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC STLC defect lifecycle and test design techniques.
- Experience with QA and bug tracking tools such as Jira Zephyr QMetry or TestRail.
- Experience with exploratory usability and risk-based testing.
- Basic knowledge of performance and security testing concepts.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of automation frameworks is a plus.
- Strong communication analytical and documentation skills.
- Availability to work in Eastern Time (9:00 AM 6:00 PM ET preferred).
- Design and execute manual test cases test plans and testing scenarios.
- Perform regression smoke exploratory and usability testing.
- Validate APIs and back-end functionality using tools such as Postman or Bruno.
- Execute cross-browser cross-device and cross-platform testing.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate data integrity.
- Report document and track bugs with clear evidence and detailed reproduction steps.
- Collaborate with developers product managers and UX teams to validate requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Provide feedback on product quality usability and performance.
- Apply AI/LLM tools such as ChatGPT Claude or Cursor within QA workflows.
