Associate – Banking & Finance

Main Duties:

• Manage diverse banking corporate project and asset finance transactions advise both lenders and borrowers across all deal stages
• Draft and negotiate financing agreements structure complex security arrangements and issue formal legal opinions
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence structure debt refinancing and deliver strategic client-focused legal advice.
• Act as the primary liaison between corporate clients financial institutions regulatory bodies and external advisors.
• Track and analyze evolving Maltese and EU financial sector legislation to ensure continuous transactional compliance.

What skills do you need

• Law Degree
• Deep interest in banking and finance backed by a solid foundation in corporate and civil law
• Sharp legal research drafting and analytical capabilities with a keen eye for detail
• High commercial acumen with a practical results-driven problem-solving mindset
• Full professional proficiency in written and spoken English
• Self-motivated team player who collaborates effectively in high-performing environments
• Hands-on exposure to banking corporate finance financial services or transactional practice is preferred but not required
