Job Description

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of medium-to-large features or a series of user stories from clarifying requirements through design implementation testing deployment and operational readiness.

• Design and implement solutions to moderately complex technical and business problems balancing simplicity performance and maintainability.

• Write high-quality well-tested code (unit integration and functional tests) and perform thoughtful code reviews that help raise the bar for the team.

• Implement automation (tests tooling CI/CD improvements) to reduce engineering toil and improve team efficiency.

• Collaborate closely with PMs EMs and teammates to break down work identify risks and dependencies and keep the team on track toward its goals.

• Participate in the teams operational responsibilities help investigate and resolve production issues and drive follow-through on postmortem actions.

• Mentor and support more junior engineers through pairing feedback and sharing best practices; actively contribute to improving team rituals and engineering practices.

• Showcase your work in demos share learnings and influence team culture of continuous improvement and psychological safety.

Key Qualifications

• Proven experience in using core Java and building N-tier web applications using Java-based technologies such as Spring Spring Boot JUnit Mockito Gradle and Maven.

• Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD using tools such as TeamCity Jenkins and Docker.

• Exposure to UI frameworks such as ReactJS.

• 3 years of experience in the facets of enterprise software systems development including relational database systems (JDBC ORM data modelling and design) software architecture system integration (messaging web services SOA) and web UI.

• Proficient in both spoken and written English.

• Concise written communication and documentation skills.

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Cloud services (e.g. AWS/GCP/Azure) are advantageous but not required.

• Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation productivity and continuous improvement.
