Job Descriptions
- Manage day-to-day Employee Relations (ER) matters across the organisation.
- Handle employee grievances complaints conflicts and workplace concerns professionally and confidentially.
- Manage employee disciplinary matters including:
- Misconduct investigations
- Show-cause letters
- Warning letters
- Corrective actions
- Termination cases
- Conduct employee investigations and fact-finding to establish appropriate resolutions.
- Coordinate and support Domestic Inquiry processes when required.
- Advise managers and supervisors on employee conduct performance attendance and behavioural issues.
- Ensure consistent and fair application of company HR policies procedures and disciplinary guidelines.
- Identify potential employee-relations issues and recommend preventive and corrective actions.
- Mediate and resolve workplace conflicts between employees and/or departments.
- Support managers in handling difficult employee conversations and sensitive people matters.
- Monitor employee relations trends recurring issues absenteeism and disciplinary cases.
- Prepare ER reports case summaries and management recommendations.
- Maintain accurate confidential and up-to-date employee case and disciplinary records.
- Review and improve HR policies and procedures relating to employee conduct discipline grievance and workplace behaviour.
- Support employee engagement communication and workplace culture initiatives.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyse employee feedback to identify potential workplace issues.
- Work closely with management and HR team to promote a positive respectful and productive workplace.
Job Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Business Administration Psychology Law or a related discipline.
- 58 years of HR experience with strong hands-on exposure in Employee Relations.
- Experience in manufacturing engineering construction or industrial environments is preferred.
- Strong practical experience in:
- Employee grievance management
- Disciplinary management
- Workplace investigations
- Domestic Inquiry
- Conflict resolution
- Employee counselling
- Performance and attendance issues
- Workplace conduct and behavioural matters
- Good knowledge of Malaysian employment legislation and HR practices.
- Strong ability to interpret and apply company policies and disciplinary procedures.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Able to remain objective fair and professional when handling sensitive employee cases.
- High level of integrity confidentiality and emotional maturity.
- Confident in advising and coaching managers and supervisors on employee-related matters.
- Proficient in Mandarin speaking and writing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS/HRMS.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple employee cases simultaneously.
Location: Iskandar Puteri Johor
Working Hours: Mon - Fri (9:00AM - 6:00PM) Sat (9:00AM - 1:00PM)
Salary Range: RM6000 - 8000
