IT Project Manager – Penang

People Hive is supporting a client in the search for an IT Project Manager to join their team in Penang.

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the IT setup and readiness of a new manufacturing facility in Penang Malaysia.

The role will be responsible for coordinating the full IT workstream for the new site working closely with business stakeholders IT teams vendors and construction/engineering partners to ensure the facility is fully IT-ready for operations.

Requirements

• 10 years of overall IT experience.

• 5 years of IT Project Management experience.

• Proven experience leading large-scale IT projects.

• Experience coordinating multiple IT workstreams including infrastructure networking security workplace services and business applications.

• Strong stakeholder and vendor management experience.

• Experience working with multinational teams and external construction or engineering partners.

• Strong project planning coordination communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced greenfield environment.

• Greenfield manufacturing facility setup

• Manufacturing site expansion

• Warehouse or logistics facility implementation

• IT/OT integration

Working Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Penang Malaysia.
• Minimum 4 days onsite per week.
• 1 day per week remote.
• October 2026 start preferred.
• Immediate availability or a short notice period is highly desirable.
