Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic highly autonomous HR Manager to drive our people operations and footprint expansion in Kulai Johor. Operating as a sole individual contributor you will serve as the localized HR anchor taking complete personal ownership of intensive talent acquisition greenfield/expansion HR setup and day-to-day operations.
This is not a purely administrative desk jobit requires a strategic yet deeply hands-on professional who thrives on executing tasks end-to-end. You will build the local talent engine from the ground up establish robust operational frameworks and act as the trusted advisor for local site leadership during a critical phase of hyper-growth.
- Personally drive the full-cycle recruitment process for technical operational and administrative roles required for site expansion.
- Proactively source screen and secure high-caliber local talent in a competitive market utilizing diverse sourcing channels and networks.
- Manage candidate pipelines coordinate interviews and manage the local offer negotiation and onboarding process flawlessly.
- Build a strong employer brand presence within the Johor region to attract top-tier technical talent.
- Establish and streamline localized HR operational workflows ensuring alignment with regional headquarters while tailoring them to local site needs.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle locally: from day-one immersion and orientation to performance milestones and offboarding.
- Serve as the local custodian for the HRIS ensuring absolute accuracy of employee records attendance tracking and leaves.
- Partner with regional shared services to ensure localized payroll data benefits administration and medical insurance programs are executed seamlessly.
- Ensure all site practices and local policies strictly comply with the Malaysia Employment Act 1955 and local industrial relations standards.
- Act as the direct accessible point of contact for all local employee queries grievances and workplace relations matters.
- Advise site leadership on local labor market trends compensation benchmarks and regulatory changes in the Johor region.
- Experience: Minimum of 68 years of all-rounded HR experience with a proven track record of operating successfully as a standalone HR partner or individual contributor.
- Industry Context: Experience handling HR operations for high-growth sectors large-scale infrastructure projects manufacturing plants or technology facilities in Johor is highly preferred.
- Core Expertise: Exceptional proven capability in high-volume or highly technical recruiting combined with solid foundational knowledge of HR operational setup.
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Management Business Administration or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Knowledge: Expert up-to-date understanding of Malaysian labor laws statutory requirements and local employment practices.
- Attributes: High emotional intelligence (EQ) exceptional resilience and the ability to pivot easily between strategic discussions and granular execution.
- Languages: Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia
