Job Summary
Responsible for managing the full set of accounts and overseeing daily accounting
operations to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting including:
- Handle full set of accounts including General Ledger Accounts Receivable (AR) Accounts Payable (AP) and bank reconciliations.
- Manage daily accounting functions such as transaction recording journal entries invoice issuance purchase orders and maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Oversee and ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare and review monthly financial reports management accounts and supporting schedules.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable including debtor aging and collection follow-ups.
- Process accounts payable verify supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies where necessary.
- Assist in budgeting forecasting and financial analysis to support management decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards company policies and statutory regulations.
- Liaise with external parties such as auditors tax agents bankers and regulatory authorities.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Accountancy or equivalent.
- Minimum 35 years of relevant accounting experience handling a full set of accounts and multi-currency transactions.
- Required languages: English Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Quickbooks and ABSS (MYOB)
- Knowledge of project accounting financial reporting and statutory compliance is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
