Job Summary

In partnership with our client we are seeking a Country Manager to launch and own operations in Kenya end to end for a fast-growing physical AI company building the hardware infrastructure and data networks behind a new class of AI. You will be the founder-operator on the ground building sales logistics and operations from zero hiring exceptional teams and negotiating partnerships with local businesses institutions and government. This is a highly autonomous highly commercial role for someone who has built something from nothing before and is ready to own the P&L the team and the results of an entire country. If you are aggressive hungry and energised by the challenge of writing the playbook rather than following one we want to meet you.
Who are we looking for

  • You are aggressive hungry and deeply determined someone who treats ownership as a personal standard not a job description.
  • You have launched something from nothing before a market a region a business line and you can walk through exactly what you built what broke and how you fixed it.
  • You are comfortable being in the field in matatus warehouses construction sites and markets not behind a desk.
  • You are commercially sharp able to negotiate close and hold your ground on price and terms.
  • You are numerate and run your operations off a dashboard not a feeling.
  • You have deep working knowledge of Kenya beyond Nairobi including county government structures and how things actually get done on the ground.
Your Responsibilities
Building and Running Operations

  • You will develop and scale every part of the data collection system yourself before delegating any of it.
  • You will recruit onboard and manage collectors distribute and maintain capture hardware and run quality control.
  • You will manage collector payouts through mobile money and hit weekly volume and quality targets.
Market Expansion

  • You will identify where to expand next starting with Nairobi then Mombasa Kisumu Nakuru Eldoret and beyond.
  • You will build local sales teams for door-to-door and cold calling and hire and train sales and operations managers under you.
  • You will run Meta ads and UGC campaigns to drive collector and partner acquisition and send mass cold outbound.
  • You will establish partnerships with local business owners SACCOs associations county officials and enterprises.
Infrastructure and Compliance

  • You will stand up logistics and data upload infrastructure including for low-bandwidth environments.
  • You will own compliance under Kenyas Data Protection Act county-level permits and statutory obligations.
What Success looks like

  • Within your first 30 days you are in the field yourself entity and compliance groundwork is in motion and your first cohort of collectors is recruited trained and capturing data.
  • Within your first 90 days Nairobi is operating reliably at target volume and quality your core team is hired and at least two partnership agreements are signed.
  • Within your first 6 to 12 months multiple counties are live your team runs day to day operations independently and Kenya becomes the template for other African markets.
To be considered for this role you should have

  • At least 6 years building and running on-ground operations in Kenya with real ownership of outcomes.
  • A track record of hiring training and managing field teams at scale.
  • Comfort with ambiguity thin infrastructure and a fast-moving environment.
