Software Development Engineer II Expansion Team

The Amazon Middle East and North Africa team is looking for a Software Development Engineer who is passionate about building great products for our customers. The SDEII will be based in Amman Jordan and must have Software engineering experience involving solving complex problems. They SDEII will:

* Design implement test deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to transform service performance durability cost and security.
* Use software engineering best practices to ensure a high standard of quality for all of the team deliverables
* Write high quality distributed system software
* Work in an agile startuplike development environment where you are always working on the most important stuff.
* Experience with multiple programming languages such as Java Python TS JS

Key job responsibilities
Were in search of a developer to construct expansive distributed computing solutions at a massive scale. Your role will involve steering the teams technical trajectory shaping our longterm vision and architecture and taking charge of major deliverables from start to finish. Youll lead the way in crafting roadmaps and providing technical guidance to the engineering team.

5 years of noninternship professional software development experience
4 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java C or C# including objectoriented design
Experience designing or architecting (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems

4 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
