The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Financial Accountant to join our team.
This is a hands-on and varied role that will see you working closely with both finance and operational teams supporting project performance financial reporting and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Project Managers on cost reporting and financial analysis
- Manage accounts receivable invoicing and collections
- Support budgeting forecasting and cashflow management
- Prepare month-end journals reconciliations and financial reports
- Assist with BAS payroll tax and statutory compliance
- Maintain fixed assets and financial records
- Support payroll interface processes
- Act as a key systems user (MYOB Advanced / Acumatica Workbench Payroll Metrics)
- Assist with audits and board reporting
- Provide general office support including:
- Ordering office supplies
- Coordinating staff travel arrangements
- Support the Finance Manager across finance and operational initiatives
About You
You will be:
- CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)
- Experienced in a Senior Financial Accountant or similar role
- Ideally from an engineering construction or project-based environment
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Systems savvy with experience in ERP/accounting platforms
- A strong communicator who can work across finance and operations
- Hands-on proactive and adaptable
