Job Summary
Position Title: Nurse Practitioner Oncology/Hematology
Location: Syracuse NY
Employment Type: Contract / Travel
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Schedule: 40 hours per week (5x8 hours)
Job Summary:
Provide advanced oncology and hematology care in an acute care setting working collaboratively with physicians to manage patient treatment plans and deliver comprehensive clinical care.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments in collaboration with physicians
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide oncology/hematology patient and family education
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Manage treatment plans using prescriptive authority in collaboration with physician
- Ensure continuity of care in an acute care environment
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year Nurse Practitioner experience required
- Oncology experience required
- Inpatient acute care experience preferred
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner license required
- CPR and ACLS certifications required
- Medicare NPI number required or eligibility to obtain
- Strong communication and clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in acute care setting
