Infotainment platforms unit is responsible for developing maintaining and deploying BMW infotainment platform. BMW infotainment platform is Linux (Yocto) based SW platform that provides common automotive functions used by multiple automotive ECUs. The unit is also responsible for cross-cutting concerns of the platform like architecture security stability and performance. The platform is deployed into multiple infotainment domain ECUs ranging from headunits and rear seat entertainment systems to telematics and audio ECUs.
Team description The data analytics team is responsible for monitoring key figures of the customer and test fleet. The tasks range from data collection up to the analysis of the data using various tools and techniques to answer specific questions find new insights and improve the software. A key element is to make the data accessible and understandable for the development teams to infer the according actions.
Job Description
Key responsibilities specific tasks projects/areas of focus
Monitor and maintain currently working data pipelines databases and associated tooling
Implement new features based on customers needs
Fix bugs and fine tune the data pipelines databases and tooling to get the best possible performance at lowest costs
Qualifications Experience and Skills
Basic requirements and Education
General knowledge in Data Engineering and Data Analysis
Good knowledge of Python with the experience in the production code development writing unit/end-to-end tests
Good knowledge of Apache PySpark and Polars (frameworks for data collection and analysis) especially good/bad practices performance tuning
Very good knowledge of SQL. Especially in writing complex queries with joins window functions etc
Experience with Plotly Dash (Python library for graphs)
Experience with Pandas (Python library for Data analytics)
Good knowledge of AWS (AmazonWebServices) Athena Glue QuickSight
Good knowledge of Palantir Foundry- Workshop Slate and Pipeline Setup
Business fluent English
University degree in computer science or a comparable field of study with a Linux & Android focus
