Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to support diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical imaging skills knowledge of radiation safety practices and the ability to provide exceptional patient care during radiologic procedures.
Responsibilities:
Perform radiographic and interventional imaging examinations under the direction of radiologists and physicians
Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures
Explain imaging procedures and provide patient support throughout examinations
Operate imaging equipment efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic studies
Practice proper radiation safety and protection techniques to minimize patient exposure
Monitor imaging equipment performance and report equipment malfunctions promptly
Process imaging documentation and enter information into radiology information systems for billing and recordkeeping
Maintain compliance with departmental procedures imaging protocols and safety standards
Collaborate with radiologists physicians and healthcare teams to support patient care needs
Participate in on-call coverage as required
Qualifications & Requirements:
Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent required
Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration required
Minimum 1 year of CT MRI Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience preferred
Strong knowledge of radiographic imaging equipment and procedures
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
Excellent communication organizational and patient care skills
Must successfully complete pre-employment health clearance requirementsPreferred Experience:
Experience with advanced imaging procedures and patient monitoring
