Job Summary:
Provide school-based speech and language therapy services to students from birth through age 21 supporting communication development academic success and individualized education plan (IEP) goals in an in-person school environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students (birth21 years)
- Conduct evaluations screenings and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions
- Manage caseload of approximately 30 students
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers families and school staff
- Support communication and academic development goals
- Work across multiple nearby school sites if required
Requirements:
- Active Maryland Speech Language Pathologist license required (in hand before start)
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred or eligible
- School-based experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP and special education processes
- Ability to manage pediatric and young adult caseload
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently in school setting
- Flexibility for multi-site support if needed
