A growing building products organization is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead develop and support a regional sales team. This role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader who enjoys building strong customer relationships coaching sales talent driving accountability and creating market growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead manage and develop sales team members within the assigned market.
Build and maintain strong customer and industry relationships.
Drive sales performance through scorecards metrics and accountability.
Lead daily customer-focused meetings to review issues opportunities and service performance.
Partner with HR and leadership to recruit and develop sales talent.
Attend customer and industry events focused on relationship building product training and process improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to resolve issues and deliver solutions.
Oversee showroom displays to ensure functionality appearance and customer impact.
Support profitability goals by managing budgets costs and market performance.
Key Requirements
5 years of sales leadership experience.
Experience in building materials construction products or a related industry preferred.
Strong leadership decision-making and performance management skills.
Excellent verbal written presentation and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to drive results and hold teams accountable.
Strong relationship-building and conflict-resolution skills.
Knowledge of order entry sales and operations management systems.
Ability to work across office warehouse fabrication showroom and construction site environments.
Ability to travel as needed.
