ABOUT THE ROLE

At Resy we are tackling hard problems with elegant solutions and scaling very quickly As aDevOps Engineer you will play a crucial role in a automating and optimizing infrastructureimproving security and observability managing deployments and troubleshootingoperations The ideal candidate can work quickly to understand both architectural andsecurity requirements and integrate into our Infrastructure as Code IaC as well as assistother members of the Engineering teams optimize their workflows You thrive in a dynamicand constantly evolving environment you are a collaborator and an innovator and you areexcited about what technology is doing for the hospitality industry

Requirements

10 years of experience working as an engineer preferably in a mix of fastpaced startupenvironments and large corporate environments

You are a selfstarter but very comfortable working closely with a team

You are comfortable working with stakeholders outside the Engineering team including ourCompliance Information Security Product Sales and Account Management teams

You have the ability to collaborate with remote peers across timezones multitasking ticketcompletion and avoiding mental blockers

You have excellent written and verbal communication skills including technicaldocumentation and UML diagramming

You have strong Linux fundamentals and scripting experience preferably BASH andorPython

You have a solid understanding of DNS TLS and networking architecture

You have strong expertise with the following

Cloud Infrastructure preferably AWS EC2 ELB S3 etc

Monitoring and Logging utilties preferably DataDog

CICD Tools preferably Jenkins and GitHub Actions

Configuration Management preferably ansible

Infrastructure as Code preferably Terraform

Build tools notably Packer and Docker

CLI Scripting especially to enhance all of the above

A passion for learning new tools as the ecosystem evolves and helping others adapt

Big PLUS if you have

Computerrelated BS or MS degree or other technical discipline

Experience with OnCall rotations incident response and postmortems

Experience with Containerization and Orchestration notably EKS Helm ArgoCD IstioOPA

Experience building compliant solutions for international markets

History of building and maintaining systems at large scale

A history of documenting projects upon completion and reviewing and updating regularly
