Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Flex Pool assignment supporting various medical and surgical units. The RN will float between assigned departments to provide high-quality patient care in acute care and progressive care settings. This role requires strong clinical judgment adaptability and the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in medical surgical and step-down units
Assess monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including wound vacs and chest tubes
Maintain accurate documentation using electronic medical records systems
Float to various units based on staffing and patient care needs
Schedule
12-hour day shifts (0)
Scheduled 36 hours per week after orientation
Holiday coverage required
Hours not guaranteed
Required Qualifications
Active Hawaii RN license required by assignment start date
Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Med-Surg and/or Step-Down settings
Current BLS certification
ACLS certification preferred
Preferred Certifications
PALS
Procedural Sedation
TNCC
ENPC
Clinical Experience & Skills
Acute care nursing experience
Step-down/progressive care experience
Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Experience with:
Wound vacs
Chest tubes
Medication administration systems
Electronic charting systems
Floating Requirements

Medical Unit:
Days/Evenings: 1:6
Nights: 1:8
Surgical Acute Unit: 1:6
Cardiovascular Unit: 1:4

Travelers must arrive prior to assignment start to complete employee health requirements and onboarding
