Job Title: Junior Accountant – European Operations Location: Delhi
Job Overview: We are seeking a Chartered Accountant (Fresher) to join our Delhi-based Global Finance team supporting our European operations headquartered in Germany. This is an excellent opportunity for a high-potential CA to begin their career in an international finance environment gain hands-on exposure to IFRS and German GAAP (HGB) and work closely with stakeholders across multiple EU jurisdictions. The role is part of a centralized global finance support structure designed to deliver high-quality accounting services to our European entities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process and post day-to-day accounting transactions for assigned European entities including accounts payable accounts receivable general ledger entries and bank reconciliations. • Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities including accruals prepayments and standard journal entries in line with reporting timelines set by the German finance team. • Prepare account reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of open items in coordination with onshore counterparts. • Assist in the preparation of intercompany invoices balance confirmations and reconciliations across EU group entities. • Maintain accurate and audit-ready documentation in compliance with internal controls and group accounting policies. • Support statutory and group audits by preparing schedules samples and supporting documentation as required. • Collaborate with team leads and German stakeholders to clarify queries and ensure accuracy of financial data. • Continuously develop technical knowledge of IFRS and exposure to German accounting standards (HGB). Requirements
• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – Fresher (first or second attempt preferred). • Strong fundamentals in accounting principles and financial reporting. • Working knowledge of MS Excel (lookups pivot tables basic formulas). • Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with international stakeholders. • High attention to detail ownership mindset and willingness to learn in a structured global finance environment. • Articleship experience with a Big 4 or reputed mid-tier audit firm. • Exposure to IFRS during articleship or academic projects. • Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. • Awareness of European business or accounting practices.
