Job Summary
Serve as Field Engineer I working in the Service Department for land/offshore. Responsible for execution of tasks as assigned by the Lead Service Technician Service Supervisor Project Manager upper-level engineers or other Management. Is operationally qualified verified and authorized as required for specific tasks. All work shall be performed in a safe professional and productive manner. Works under close supervision with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform field services within capacity as directed and in accordance with specific project work plan procedures and/or standard operating procedures
Report to Lead Service Technicians Service Supervisors when working in the field
Report to Project Manager and District Manager when not working in the field
Assist in creating project documentation such as Project Work Plans (PWP) drawings calculations etc.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Service maintain repair and test equipment/ tools pre/post jobs
Write or participate in writing Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) for job task assigned
Load/ unload equipment
Learn all field services work and equipment in order to gain skills/knowledge
Competency or working towards competency in Scopes of Work
Increase knowledge and training on product lines and services
Participation and Compliance with BlueFin HSE and Quality Management System.
Follow current work-hours policy for both shop and field
Comply with all company policies (Safety quality general SOPs etc)
Available 24-hour call (except for scheduled PTO)
Able to perform demanding physical labor in hot/cold environments and offshore
Participate in training
Monitor environment for unsafe conditions
Assist in creating training documentation including Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Four-year accredited engineering degree
No experience required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Minimal knowledge of equipment and capabilities of that equipment and processes in which it is used for.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to discuss with the client the work you are performing.
Basic knowledge or ability to learn computer equipment and software.
Registration Certification or License
Valid drivers license required
Hold proper safety and training certificates for work performed. If not then ability to obtain.
Physical Requirements
Extensive driving may be required
Ability to work in harsh environmental conditions
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check drug screen Fit for Duty and/or physical
