- Planning and coordinating IT security programs and policies across assigned information systems
- Managing and controlling system changes and assessing their security impact
- Supporting the certification and accreditation (C&A) process in accordance with ODNI and DoD policies
- Maintaining operational security posture and performing day-to-day security operations
- Evaluating security solutions to ensure they meet requirements for processing classified information
- Administering user identification and authentication mechanisms for assigned Information Systems (IS)
- Maintaining records on workstations servers routers firewalls intelligent hubs network switches and other infrastructure including system upgrades
- Providing configuration management (CM) for security-relevant software hardware and firmware
- Supporting senior ISSOs with implementing and enforcing information systems security policies standards and methodologies
- Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of security documentation
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science or a related technical field from an accredited university
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as an ISSO on programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity
- Experience in at least one of the following: knowledge of current security tools hardware/software security implementation communication protocols or encryption techniques/tools
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Systems Technical (IAT) Level 1 or higher
- Knowledge of basic networking fundamentals
- Experience with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-171
- Active or current TS/SCI Polygraph clearance OR the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Access
- Experience with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements implementation or compliance programs
- Experience supporting multiple programs or enclaves simultaneously
- Familiarity with ODNI-specific C&A documentation requirements
- Prior experience serving as an Approval Authority for classified information systems
- Advanced DoD 8570 certifications (IAT Level II or III or IASAE)
- Experience with cloud security or hybrid environment security operations
