The Technical Superintendent is responsible for the operational technical and financial management of assigned superyachts. The role acts as the main point of contact for all yacht-related communication both internally and externally and reports to the Head of Fleet Management.
Key Responsibilities
Act as the first point of contact for all technical matters related to assigned vessels
Monitor and follow up on statutory compliance and vessel classification requirements
Define review and monitor annual OPEX dry-dock proposals and operating budgets
Ensure continuous reporting to the Head of Fleet Management regarding ongoing activities and vessel status
Review the vessels ISM system annually in collaboration with HSEQ and the vessels crew
Coordinate with internal departments crew suppliers classification societies and external stakeholders
Support the technical operational and financial performance of the yacht fleet
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate has solid experience in yacht or vessel management strong technical understanding and the ability to coordinate complex operational and financial matters within a maritime environment.
Requirements
Maritime Academy degree or equivalent professional experience
Experience with commercial yachts or commercial vessels
Strong knowledge of ship management administration and technical yacht operations including new build and maintenance activities
Good understanding of relevant yachting legislation and statutory requirements
Knowledge of navigation insurance accounting yacht maintenance upkeep and budget management
Fluent written and spoken English
EU residency or valid eligibility to work in Belgium are required
Willingness and ability to relocate to Belgium are required
