Who are we looking for

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Regulatory Manager Upstream to lead regulatory strategy and client advisory support for complex environmental remediation and reclamation projects.

This role will play a key part in shaping regulatory engagement managing risk and supporting long-term site closure and reclamation strategies. The position offers a blend of technical leadership client-facing work and contribution to business growth.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Serve as a regulatory lead for environmental remediation and reclamation projects at upstream oil and gas sites
• Advise clients on permitting compliance strategy and regulatory risk
• Lead regulatory reviews audits corrective action programs and closure planning
• Interface directly with regulatory agencies at the county state and federal level
• Monitor regulatory trends and support proactive client strategy
• Support proposals client development and strategic growth initiatives
• Mentor and support development of technical staff

Experience in the following areas is preferred:

• State-level environmental regulations (California experience preferred)
• Federal regulatory frameworks such as CERCLA RCRA and Clean Water Act
• Pipeline and/or oil well-related permitting and reclamation
• Coordination with agencies such as CalGEM EPA SWRCB RWQCB BLM or comparable regulatory bodies

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Bachelors degree in engineering geology environmental science or related field
• 12 years ofregulatory experience related to legacy or active mine sites
• Experience supporting remediation reclamation and enforcement negotiations
• Strong understanding of permitting compliance and regulatory strategy
• Excellent technical writing and executive communication skills
• Willingness to travel

Salary Range: $94000-$156 000 based on location and experience
