Role Overview: This role focuses on designing implementing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines within a public sector IT environment. The engineer will contribute to the deployment and governance of a new CI/CD chain support migration activities from legacy tooling and ensure smooth integration across development and deployment workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Design configure and test a new CI/CD pipeline architecture
Define governance standards and best practices for CI/CD processes
Document system architecture workflows and operational procedures
Support users and development teams in CI/CD adoption and usage
Contribute to the migration from legacy Atlassian tools to modern CI/CD solutions
Participate in the maintenance and evolution of existing CI/CD infrastructure
Ensure continuous improvement of build test and deployment processes
Key Technical Skills:
CI/CD tools: GitLab Bamboo Bitbucket
Artifact and dependency management: Nexus
Code quality and analysis: SonarQube
Containerization and orchestration: Docker Kubernetes (or Tanzu)
Experience with CI/CD migration projects (e.g. Atlassian to GitLab)
Basic to confirmed experience in deployment/configuration management
Soft Skills:
Strong collaboration with development teams
Clear communication and documentation mindset
Structured and methodical approach
Continuous improvement orientation
Languages:
French (C2 mandatory)
Additional Requirement:
Willingness to work on-site at least 50% of the time or more if required
Experience in public sector IT environments is considered an advantage
