Position Overview The Director of Pharmacy will provide strategic and operational leadership for all inpatient pharmacy services within a 255-bed acute care hospital with an average daily census of 175. This leader will oversee a large pharmacy team partner closely with executive leadership and ensure safe efficient and compliant pharmacy operations across the organization.
The role requires a visible and engaged leader who can successfully balance departmental oversight staff development project implementation and collaboration with hospital leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight for inpatient pharmacy operations staff and clinical services
Build strong partnerships with hospital administration and executive leadership teams
Maintain a visible presence within the pharmacy department and actively support staff engagement and development
Lead operational initiatives process improvements and implementation projects
Ensure compliance with all regulatory accreditation and quality standards
Oversee staffing budgeting departmental performance and operational efficiency
Promote a collaborative patient-centered culture focused on safety and clinical excellence
Manage and develop pharmacy leadership and frontline staff across a multi-structure team environment

Qualifications
Current Pharmacist license in good standing or eligibility to obtain Tennessee licensure prior to start
Minimum 3 years of Director of Pharmacy leadership experience within an acute care inpatient hospital required
Minimum 35 years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
Strong operational leadership communication and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated success leading teams driving initiatives and collaborating with executive leadership
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary up to $200000
Relocation assistance available up to $15000 based on distance
