Job Summary
Position: Shipping and Receiving Associate/Office assistant
Work Location: Andover MA 01810
Payrate: $18.00 - $20.00/hr
Duration: 3 Months role with high chances of extension/conversion
Shift: (Mon - Thu) 9:00 am - 5:30 pm Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Job Description:
- Responsible for the entire shipping process.
- Includes scheduling LTL & TL pickups customer appointments dispatch paperwork package preparation & carrier labels real time communication with production scheduling and customer service.
- Good computer skills strong problem solving and a high-level organization.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks all over the USA of our products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort outbound freight.
- Palletize and shrink wrap freight.
- Adhere address labels to freight.
- Attach SDS to freight.
- Verify Bill of Lading and Packing slip has correct product information.
- Schedule carriers to pick up.
- Confirm appointments at destinations.
- Notify supervisor of any product/label discrepancies.
- Communicate coordinate and work with appropriate department heads.
- Ability to communicate with others on a timely basis.
- Received material in Syspro
- Services and non-stock materials receiving in Syspro (MROs)
Experience and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED with some office experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Forklift experience required
- Experience with WMS (warehouse management system)
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion with minimum instructions adhere to prescribed routines and practices maintain records and make reports requiring accuracy.
- Ability to work well with others and to assist cooperatively and courteously.
- Skill in the application of modern office techniques and practices and the use and care of office machines and equipment.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to read and understand company policies standard operating procedures and training materials.
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable and change priorities and direction as needed.
- Must have a positive attitude towards work and have the ability to work as a member of a team.
